This is what I wore yesterday when we went to have lunch at my favourite South Indian restaurant and we also went to the cinema afterwards.
It was pretty quiet at midday in Southampton, so these photos were taken outside The Guildhall entrance. Although I love putting a whole vintage outfit together (complete with hat, gloves, etc) sometimes it is nice to just be able to throw on a 50s summer dress if you are having a more casual day out.
Dress: Vintage - eBay
Shoes: Rocket Originals
Bag: Vintage from the Retro & Jukebox Fair in Brighton earlier this year
Necklace: Vintage from The Vintage Parade in Winchester earlier this year
Earrings: Vintage from the Bows and Braces Vintage Fair in June this year
cute simple outfit. the dress i really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteas you can see at my blog, i can't go out all dolled up with a hat and gloves and a tiny 50s bag in every day's life but i wear a lot of original 50s pieces - everyday. ha,i found out, that there wasn't much days i left the house without wearing a petticoat ...
Gorgeous! The shades of blue in that dress are so richly elegant and sweetly serene. They make me think of the way the water sometimes looks during the summer down at Pacific Ocean in Vancouver, for those few short last moments between dusk and proper nighttime sets in.

Oh my gosh, I am seriously in love with your dress! The blue looks INCREDIBLE and the belt ties it off so nicely! Love this! <333

Such a beautiful dress, the rich blue is gorgeous on you! I would love to have more vintage accessories - especially hats in my wardrobe, but dressing casual is good too :D
