The last of the wool dresses...

As mentioned in a previous post, this transition from Winter to Spring has been interesting for my vintage wardrobe.  I bought a few vintage wool dresses over the last few months and this post features the last of them to go on this blog.  I am also showing you my new coat, which is a 1950s 'Kerrybrooke' Teen coat.  As a petite lady, I do buy a lot of 'Junior' items as they fit me better and this coat is no exception.  I find it quite difficult to buy vintage coats so when I saw this on eBay and it was my size, I knew I had to get it (especially as it was from a UK seller so no customs charges!)

It has a lovely fleck in the material and I just love the buttons.

I purchased this dress from Croatia Vintage on Etsy and scored a good discount as it was during the Black Friday sales.  You might not be able to see in the photos but the neckline has rhinestones around it - so cute!

  3. Ahh, lovely blog! It's nice to see another gal that can wear Junior sizes! (thought I was the only one) My biggest problem is my hunting for 50s cardigans (and a lot of dresses) etc. a bit difficult because the busts are nearly always too big and it appears I still have a junior sized bust *sad face* Anyways, this is an adorable outfit, I love it all x

  4. Ohh that dress has such lovely details on it- the cuffs, the faux pockets to the bust and, yes I did notice, the fabulous rhinestones at the throat.Your coat is lovely too. I hear you about being shorter and having to really hunt for things that fit. Hope you get a few more wears out of it before the warmer weather hits you. xx Shauna

  5. Fantastic coat - that is one of those pieces that is truly timeless. It will look amazing in another 50 years, heck, even in 500 years. The silver squares on the buttons are a charming touch. I had a black vintage princess coat (not Kerrybrook) years ago that had similar gold ones.

You look splendidly elegant, sweet dear. Love this whole outfit!

Big hugs & many thanks for your wonderfully nice comment on today's Miss L Fire shoes outfit post,

  6. I envy your collection of wool dresses! These are something I need to keep my eyes peeled for in preparation for next Winter, I could maybe even get away with wearing some now. It's only just started to get warmer in Scotland :)
